Every mother deserves a day; every child deserves a meal.

Each Mother’s Day, churches are able to honor moms by ending hunger. Churches across the state will take up a special offering during worship to alleviate hunger for individuals and families.

Mother’s Day Offering

Jacob West, chair of the Christian Life Commission, reflects on his grandmother, who vowed “No one in this house will go hungry.” Across the state and globe, this is unfortunately not the case. Sixty percent of the world’s hungry are women.* This offering will help feed mothers and their children in 30 countries and 37 Texas towns.  Sunday, May 9, the Hunger Offering will collect a special Mother’s Day Offering for women and their children. Once you give, download and print our custom Hunger Offering Mother’s Day card to send to your mom, letting her know you gave in her honor.

When is it?

This Mother’s Day, join many churches across the state and hold a special offering to end hunger, as part of the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering.

How do I promote?

We've put together a number of promotional pieces to help you spread the word about Mother's Day Hunger Offering across multiple platforms.

How it works?

On Mother’s Day, churches gather and take a special offering during worship to fight hunger and serve their brothers and sisters in Texas and across the world. The church then sends the proceeds designated to the “Texas Baptist Hunger Offering”:
