MOTHER'S DAY HUNGER OFFERING
Every mother deserves a day; every child deserves a meal.
Rebuilding a Life: A Mother’s Day Story
Each Mother’s Day, churches are able to honor moms by ending hunger. Churches across the state will take up a special offering during worship to alleviate hunger for individuals and families.
Poor nutrition causes deaths of 3.1 million children under the age of 5 every year (World Food Programme, http://www.wfp.org/hunger/stats). As the body of Christ, we are charged with the mandate to serve and empower those in need. The Mother’s Day offering allows churches to honor moms, by feeding children through the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering.
When is it?
This Mother’s Day, May 13, join many churches across the state and hold a special offering to end hunger, as part of the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering.
How do I promote?
We've put together a number of promotional pieces to help you spread the word about Mother's Day Hunger Offering across multiple platforms.
How it works?
On Mother’s Day, churches gather and take a special offering during worship to fight hunger and serve their brothers and sisters in Texas and across the world. The church then sends the proceeds designated to the “Texas Baptist Hunger Offering”:
